My husband and I bought one of these and one of the gloworms for our twin boys 1st birthday. it does go through batteries quicker than the gloworm, but thats a small price to pay for the peace it brings us and our son. the sounds are much better than the gloworm, the bubbling noises are very realistic and the lullabye songs are pleasant to listen to. its very soft..even the belly is soft plastic, and the fins are soft green satin. i really love that you can choose how loud or how soft you want the music to play, and it plays for much longer than the gloworm. i thought about returning the gloworm and getting another seahorse but my other son loves it. bottom line... we love the seahorse. great value, great price.

The music is nice, the glowing is interesting, and the toy is soft. The main drawback occurs when daughter gets tired of the toy and the music is still going, I need to open it up in the back in order to turn it off.

My daughter is really attached to being held and had a hard time sleeping in her own bed. She had digestive problems since she was born - and had constant stomach aches.. I held her all the time and she slept with us in our bed. When I did put her to bed, she was not happy about being alone.. I bought this seahorse and WOW.. she falls asleep most times with it..
