 This toy smells of toxic plastic August 30, 2008

I just got this in the mail an am returning it pronto! I didn't even want to give it one star but amazon makes you give at least one. This had a strong smell of plastic. No where on the box does it say it is PVC or BPA free. Just says non toxic. On the back it says it's made of soft vinyl. What the heck! The paint on the blocks feels really odd almost oil like. This seems very unsafe. I think the claims of this being non toxic are false. They should print on the box that this is PVC free. I just took the websites word for it. Won't do that again. Stick to the toys made in Germany folks. They at least write on the package what there product is and isn't. And they don't smell of toxic plastic. Even the packaging is unenviromentally friendly. It's hard to find a place that will recycle packing peanuts. UPS store will recycle your bubble rap.

I bought these for my 19 month old as a stacking toy and she loves them. They are made of soft vinal and are very durable and easy to clean. They make for a safe teething toy and the textures are gerat too. Great for learning how to stack and easy for little hands to manage. I know this toy will be around my house with our second child and loved just as much.
