2 out of 5 stars PARENTS BEWARE!!! flat head and BLACK MOLD!   September 2, 2010
M. Pickering (oklahoma)
I thought this was perfect for my little man... and it was, up until today. We've been using this for our little guy to sleep in for the past three months. He only sleeps in it. When I took the cover off to wash it, underneath the lining and the plastic seat were covered in black mold. Yucky, icky, mold. The seat has never been wet, never traveled with it, and our baby has been sleeping in that mess for the first three months of his life. We are moving him to his crib tonight. Fisher price is taking back the product and issuing me a refund. Also, this product has made my son's head very, very flat. My other children slept in bassinets and their heads were never this bad. I'm actually very thankful that I found the mold so I could move him to his crib. Beware of this product, please! If you live in a hot, humid area, the mold will grow.

5 out of 5 stars Loved it for new born   September 1, 2010
first time mommy
I got this for my newborn baby to sleep in at night after I read the reviews and I loved. It would get close to his bed time and I would go ahead and put him in before he went to sleep and he would fall asleep in it on his own. The height of it was just below the height of our mattress and I could just roll over and look down at him and check on him through the night or just throw my arm over and rock him in it. I don't know if I was just supper lucky or this helped him start sleeping through the night at about 3 weeks. Yes I would recommend this item and I loved it very much and would purchase it again

5 out of 5 stars Can't live without it!   August 27, 2010
Little Bug
We absolutely love this sleeper. I can't imagine life without it. It is very easy to move from room to room and at night our son sleeps in it next to our bed. I highly recommend this brilliant and affordable option, especially for those who don't particularly like frilly bassinettes.

5 out of 5 stars miracle for colicky twins!   August 22, 2010
quadmom
We have quadruplets (3 boys, 1 girl). Two of our boy are identical twins and they are screamers! When our aunt offered to buy us 4 of these rockers I will admit to being very skeptical. Nothing soothed these boys sometimes -- not their swing (Rainforest cradle swing), not walking/rocking, not singing, not shushing, not their vibrating bouncy seat, not wrapping, not carrying in a Moby wrap -- nothing. So why would a flimsy looking rocker thing work? I read the reviews (almost all of which were raving about it) and was still unconvinced, but figured we may as well try it.

We got them yesterday and set them up for the first time that evening. Can I just say WOW, for some inexplicable reason, the kids LOVE this thing. L was screaming his head off and we put him in the rocker and rocked it aggressively at first for about 30 seconds, he immediately quieted and then I slowed it down and rocked it with one foot. He sat there peacefully and then drifted to sleep! If he woke up I could just adjust my rocking speed (with ONE FOOT! so easy) til he drifted back again and then eventually I didn't even have to rock it. He sleeps like a baby for up to 4 hours!! It was the easiest night shift ever ... I could rock him with one foot while feeding my daughter (all are preemies so feeding is a bit of a struggle, yet I could still do it while soothing my normally screaming son!) If I can do night shift with quads using this thing, imagine what you can do -- watch TV, eat dinner, sort mail, shop online (I'm currently rocking my other son E while typing this and he's silent and happy).

I should note that this works well when they're swaddled in their kiddopotomus wraps since they're only 3 weeks old adjusted age. I think if I didn't have them swaddled they might be upset with their arms waving about and startling them. Also, the reviewers who mentioned the hard part where the head sits are right -- I am thinking we might stitch a padded piece of fabric onto that piece to avoid head/neck issues.

Also, the quads have reflux and need to be upright to sleep and this thing works wonders for that, too.

I know it's only been a couple days but that = 6 naps so far that it's worked for! I actually feel well-rested! I'll update this review as time goes on.

3 out of 5 stars Nice, not the reflux miracle I'd hoped for   August 18, 2010
B. Carter (lala land)
This sleeper is cute, sturdy (people complaining of that must have put it together wrong), portable. I bought it after my baby came prematurely and had reflux issues.
He is also a little colicky and the sleeper seems to do nothing to soothe either issue.

I love the height though. Much more off the ground than a bouncer/swing and it's easy to reach down from my bed and get him for nursing .
