5 out of 5 stars Zooper Bolero-Great Stroller   January 14, 2008

Bakground:
I got the zooper bolero when I was looking for a smaller stroller for a cross country trip with my 2 year old. I had already gotten rid of the cheap umbrella because it was breaking my back at DisneyWorld. I started by looking at the Maclaren umbrellas too but I read too many negative reviews to try it for the price. I have had full sized and joggers also. The Bolero is a great overall stroller- for travel, malls, neighborhood, flat paths, bumpy streets, crowds, etc.
Pros:Fabric, recline, folding, steering, napper bar, canopy
Cons: basket
It has wonderful and comfortable fabric and many extras. It comes with a sun/insect cover and a rain cover(I used the rain cover alot in Seattle in Winter). It also comes with a cozy cover for cold weather. My daughter at 36 inches was just at the limit of tallness for the cozy-her feet were at the end of it.
The backrest has several adjustments, including almost flat. The Bolero folds up smaller than a standard stroller but not as compact as an umbrella. The top handle is fixed across but folds in the middle to made the overall fold smaller. It stands by itself when folded-a great feature in many climates and for storage. The canopy was one of the features that made my decision for the Bolero instead of one of the other zoopers (hula) I looked at. It is spacious and adjustable. It has a little extra fabric that can be out or tucked in, it has a storage pocket on the back and a peeking window on the top. You can also zip off the solid back part to reveal a screen for venilation. The straps and buckles are easy to use and my daughter loves the napper bar in front because she's old enough to let her sit without the straps. The bar also opens easily once you fine the release the first time.
The basket looks okay but is actually pretty useless. It is hanging under part of the X shaped folding mechanism and the folding handle is right at the back of it. The only real way to access is in the front and then it's only helpful for something flat. There is storage in the canopy which is good for diapers, snacks, etc. and the handle is easy to hang bags on without tipping.
The steering was great-over cobblestones, curbs, malls, sand, crowds, ice, etc. No problems like I had with the wheels of my full sized (PP.
For an infant there is also an option to zip up the end of the seat for safety and infant seat compatibility.
Great stroller overall. I've had alot of brands in the last 6 years and this is one of the best overall options I've seen and used.
