And, of course, leaks always seems to happen when you're in the middle of an important business presentation or wearing your best silk dress at a friend's wedding. These extra absorbent disposable nursing pads have a soft, comfortable lining that rests against the skin. The lining draws excess moisture away from skin and into a polymer core in the center. A laminated waterproof lining against your clothing prevents milk from getting any further. The pads are incredibly thin (2 mm) and contoured like a breast, so they don't look stiff or unnatural under clothing. Adhesive tape on the back of each pad secures it to undergarments to keep it from shifting during the day. When I had my first baby, I originally wanted to use washable/re-usable pads because they are better for the environment, but I learned really fast that they only were good for a short amount of time and tended to leak. When I tried a few of the disposable pads, these proved to be the best at staying in place and preventing leaks. They are comfortable and easy to use and can be worn over night without a problem. If you buy them here at Amazon.com, you have the option of using "Subscribe and Save" which will save you an extra 15% AND you can have them shipped right to your door on a regular basis! (a real life-safer for busy moms!) Buying them through Subscribe and Save you also get 3 boxes per shipment, so you will always have them on hand. I went through a box pretty fast so it was good to have extras. Now that I am ready to give birth again, I am all stocked up and ready!

I've tried every nursing pad I could find, and these were the best hands down. At first I didn't like how they were individually packaged, but I quickly found out how great it was because I didn't have to worry about them getting dirty in the diaper bag or taking them on the go. They are very thin and discreet and I have never had a leaking problem.

The wife says: These pads are the most expensive I've seen (hence the 4-star rating instead of 5), but they're also the best of the disposable pads. I've used them almost exclusively in three years of nursing. I have tried several other brands, but keep coming back to the Lansinoh for the best leak protection. They have lots of gel and a truly waterproof backing, especially good for overnight use. Cons: price, and since they come folded, sometimes the crease shows under knit bras & shirts.
