When I first read about these I was very excited. However, mine were defective. When I trimmed them to size 9, they separated in places at the seams and a fine white powder came out all over my shoes and socks. Returned them twice and had the same result. Contacted the company again and asked for a refund or non-defective versions and received pretty much the same product with a disclaimer that the some separation is normal and they are only meant to last 6 weeks-6 months. Seems to me to be a systematic manufacturing problem. Great concept (and I think they work as advertised), but until they can get the bugs worked out, I'd be careful about getting them. I threw mine out after investing a lot of time and hassle. However, customer service from the company was friendly and accommodating.

I was kind of skeptical that these would make much difference, but they have. I put them in my shearling slippers, which were in theory already very warm, and it's made quite a difference. And in another pair of slip-on shoes, which were pretty cold normally, they've completely renewed the shoes, in terms of comfort.
