DANGER, DO NOT USE February 15, 2008 JODIE (Cincinnati, OH United States) I OFTEN HAVE BACK AND NECK SPASMS, AND HAVE TRIED THERMACARE HEAT WRAPS BEFORE WHEN THEY DIDN'T EVEN GET WARM. LAST WEEK I PUT ONE ON A BACK SPASM AND GOT SUCH A SERIOUS BURN AND WAS IN SUCH HORRIBLE PAIN THAT I HAD TO GO TO THE DR. MY GRANDDAUGHTER ALSO GOT ONE ON HER STOMACH WHEN SHE USED THE ONE FOR CRAMPS. SINCE IT WAS AT HER PANTS LINE, IT TOOK FOREVER FOR IT TO SCAB OVER AND HEAL. I DON'T THINK THEY ARE SAFE ENOUGH TO USE, AS YOU CAN NEVER TELL IF YOU ARE GOING TO GET ONE THAT DOESN'T WARM UP, OR GETS TOO HOT AND BURNS YOU. IF "NO STARS" WERE AN OPTION, THAT IS WHAT I WOULD HAVE CHOSEN. ALSO,I HAD CHECKED THE PACKAGE TO SEE IF I COULD SLEEP WITH IT, BUT DIDN'T SEE THE SMALL PRINTING ON THE BACK. ALSO, LOOKED FOR INSTRUCTIONS INSIDE BUT HAD A THREE PACK AND SINCE THE INSTRUCTIONS WERE SMALLER IT WAS STUCK BETWEEN THE TWO OTHERS. YOU DON'T USE THESE UNLESS YOU ARE IN PAIN, SO THESE WARNINGS SHOULD BE IN BIG PRINT ON THE FRONT!!!
Useful for emergencies, travelling. November 18, 2007 Smita These patches provide real relief. I bought them for a relative who uses them for emergencies and while traveling. Do not use for over 8 hours at a stretch - can cause slight burns if used beyond 8 hours.
Not a luxury - a necessity for most families! September 22, 2007 K. Varraso (Boston, MA USA) I make sure that Thermacare Heatwraps are always in the house for when family members who injure knees and backs when having fun as a Sunday amateur athlete (but then Monday comes, and brings the aches along with it), when nasty strains and sprains pop up and even when someone is in bed with the cold and aches from a virus and feels as if she needs a little warmth to comfort the sick one and to give a little relief. The size is perfect for all of these things, without wasting a lot of product. The fact that three comes in a box, instead of two for the back/waist sized Thermacare heatwraps. I'd recommend that anyone keep a box or two of these on hand as part of a a normal first aid kit. Amazon has a phenominal price on them (better than anyplace I've found locally), which makes the Heatwraps even the teeniest bit better.
Great price excellent product June 8, 2007 Amy Poole (Midwest, USA) These are the perfect size for my aching knees and rest and the price was much better than I can find in the store. A+ deal and product.
Great for sore neck muscles May 13, 2007 VACOWGIRL (VA) I use these heat wraps for my neck often. I have arthritus in my neck and the heat is soothing. The only negative thing I can say about these heat wraps is that once in a while you get one that gets so hot it burns your skin and the same can be said that you can also get one that never gets very warm at all. I really like to use these in the winter time when I have to be outside for any amount of time. I put one on my neck and bundle up. It keeps the cold draft away from my neck and I don't end up with tight muscles because I was out in the cold.
