Product Description The Kaito KA404 combines a sturdy 5-LED flashlight with an AM/FM radio, giving users a handy versatile camping accessory, job site companion, car gadget or in an emergency situation, such as a hurricane or an earthquake. Made of durable, high-impact plastic, the rugged device features 5 super bright LEDs, each of which is rated at 15,000 MCD, and it can last for 10 minutes if cranked for 1 minute. The flashlight is great for illuminating a campsite or dimly lit work area, campers will also enjoy the FM radio and its built-in speaker and telescoping FM antenna, which improves reception in out-of-the-way locations.

radio? December 28, 2008 Jennifer S. Croft (NJ) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
Got this for my 3 boys - 9 and under. The siren screams, the light, flashes, but the radio isnt the best. hard to get a station on it.
Ordered 4 items and only 3 worked December 26, 2008 B. Ball 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I ordered four of these windup radio/flashlights, three out of the four worked the fourth one was not operational at all. These do work exactly as the information says. They are pretty cool and will come in handy in the next storm. We live out in the country and I thought it would be nice to have a windup radio/flashlight for tornado season. So these were the great stocking stuffers. Sadly, I have to return the fourth one and order a replacement. I will leave a review on how the whole return service went. This will be my first time having to return an online order. As for the cell phone charging operation I am not sure what attachment I would have to get to use it but it does sound like a nice option.
Kinda crummy December 18, 2008 J. S. Ewing 0 out of 1 found this review helpful
Flashlight's OK but the radio sucks. Can't get any FM station in clearly and there is one right here in our small town. It's a lot smaller than I expected, too. On the box it states "high quality am/fm radio" but it's one of the worst radios I've ever listened to. Almost worth it just to read the Japlish on the box though.
Overwhelmed November 19, 2008 M. Mullainathan (California) After reading the reviews I choose to buy 2 of this. I took it to a recent camping visit. I am surprised. It has enough brightness and holds the charge. Can be charged effortlessly. One star less for the construction. Could have been built more stronger.
Kaito KA404 flashlight November 16, 2008 Alan Bui (San Diego, CA) Great product, have not used it for long duration. Turned it on and radio works great! light is pretty bright. good price. TY.
