Amazon.com Review Ideal for space-efficient task lighting, this little desk lamp capitalizes on its versatility and sleek looks. The globe-shaped base is just 3 inches in diameter and holds an easy-access on/off switch on top. Two extendable antennas reach up to 12 inches high and support a spherical shade with a clear 20-watt halogen bulb (included). Tilt the light with the stick handle to get the perfect angle of illumination. Finished in glossy black and chrome, this lamp offers a clean, modern style on any desktop. It's also ideal for a hobby table, cookbook stand, or dorm bunk bed shelf. --Kara Karll

stop working in 2 months February 1, 2008 an angry customer (NY, USA) Though I am unhappy about how tiny it is, I am not going to complain it because I ordered it with knowledge about the dimension. The complain I have, which is much more serious than its size, is that it stops working in less than 2 months! How come?
Small but powerful January 23, 2008 Zhe Leng (Utah) Its size is small, but the brightness is high enough for me to working on my computer desk. The top parts of the lamp is very hot after lighted on for a while.
I really regret that I bought this tiny useless lamp December 14, 2007 Hyunkyung Yun (New York, NY USA) 0 out of 2 found this review helpful
As other reviewer has written, I regret. When I got this, I was quite disappointed because it was too small than I expected based on the picture. Anyway, I put it on my desk and used it for two nights(I didn't even use the lamp during day time). After two days, it's just gone, I don't know whether its bulb's just exhausted or the lamp itself is broken in some way. I don't know where I can get the replacement bulb and don't want to bother myself to return it or send it to the manufacturer for warranty. It's just not worth for anything. I just wasted my money and time.
I don't understand the negative reviews December 3, 2007 D. Kechagias (Brooklyn, NY) 7 out of 7 found this review helpful
Over a decade ago, back in high school, I had replaced my classic telescopic type desc lamp with a tiny (almost identical to this one) halogen lamp (quite expensive back then), and I didn't look back since! Last year my girfriend was feeling tired when studying under her classic telescopic desk lamp, so I bought her this lamp (in white) from Amazon and a more expensive halogen with a longer neck from Target. It is this little gem that found a permanent place on her desk. While it looks small even fully extended, when it is placed on her desk it perfectly lights up all her reading area, with very relaxing light, without blinding her. Why do reviewrs rate it bad, just because it is small? While telescopic mounts are useful for certain applications and working environments, this device proves that a well designed small mount can effectivelly light a typical desk. Ok, if your idea of a good lamp requires a length of 2 feet (according to a reviewer), I guess you should check the dimensions clearly stated and move along. If you are a designer etc and need a telescopic lamp to move around, look at the picture and move along. If you want a great yet ridiculously inexpensive desk lamp, you should give this a try.
Great Little Lamp November 19, 2007 S. Kelly (Minneapolis, MN United States) 5 out of 5 found this review helpful
Between my home and work I have ~ 6 or 7 of these. They perform well, they don't eat bulbs too quickly. They are fairly light weight; if you like your desk appliances to weigh a ton, that is the only thing I can imagine that there could be to dislike about this great little lamp. I you have an Ikea near you I would recommend saving $3 and getting the exact same lamp they call the "Espressivo."
