Chandrika Soap is made with pure vegetable oils such as purified Coconut oil, Sandalwood oil, and Patchouli oil. The soap does not use any animal fat or products. Chandrika Soap is not tested on animals.

This soap is wonderful! Great price, great scent, and no harsh chemicals. My skin is very soft when I use this soap and as I mentioned before, the scent is very nice.

As another person said, this is some new version of this soap and not what is pictured on the product page. Definitely not what I have been using for oh, 15 years. I figured just one person mentioning that in their review might be a fluke and ordered anyway. I think it is a new formula for Chandrika, not a different product, and so is replacing what I normally get and am used to (AND LIKE!) so I don't know that there is much to be done about this, but I don't like it near as much, if at all. It has a lighter scent, and smells more of the vegetable oil and lye (or whatever) out of which it is made. Leaves a slightly unpleasant residual smell of same. But I guess if Chandrika has changed the formula, then this is it. Not happy about that. No problems with Amazon's fulfillment, just the product itself....

I was not happy with what the description provided. The picture listed is an old picture of the product. I received a new version of the product which contains different ingredients. I was a bit misled and now I am stuck with my purchase.

I've been hooked on this soap for almost a year now. The bars don't last long, but the aroma and cleaning action are both excellent. If you like Indian-style scents and prefer soaps that clean and don't leave a film of greasy moisturizer, but want to maintain a healthy PH balance, then this is your soap. Also, women love how one smells after showering with this.

I started using this soap 10 years ago - soo happy to find it sold on Amazon! I have my hubby hooked on it too now. Great light scent and makes you feel super clean! Buy some today!
