We bought this toy box when my daughter was first born and now at 4 it's still in great shape! It's made of quality wood and has fit into any decor we've had in her room. The only thing I would add is a locking device to keep the top up when kids are getting toys! Right now they have to hold it up themselves which can be difficult for little ones.

I was very unsatisfied with the color of this chest. On line it looks like a honey wood and the one I received via mail is a very light wood. It does not match my other wood items as it showed it would. So I had to return it and pay for shipping both ways.

I purchased this after going over the reviews for each toy box I was interested in. The design and depth of the box are wonderful. It is not the most sturdy piece of furniture but for 100.00 bucks I did not expect a whole lot. It dents easlier I guess the wood is soft, but it holds a lot of toys!

I liked the design and wood color of the toy box, however it arrived with SEVERAL CHIPS AND DISCOLORATION IN IT. I like the feature so the little fingers don't slam in it but it is basically very soft plywood.

When my husband and I were registering for our baby last year, I knew that I wanted a toybox, though I really wasn't crazy about the plastic toyboxes that seemed to be everywhere. There was only one of these wooden toyboxes in the store, and I immediately fell in love with it. True, some of the plastic toyboxes may be a little bigger (and cheaper), but the wooden toybox matched the decor of the baby's room, plus it's very classy, not at all gaudy like some baby items can be.It's been nine months now, and I still love it. The design is very attractive, and even better, it fits a lot of toys. The toybox has a hinge so the lid won't slam down on tiny fingers. If you look at the picture of the box, you can see there are openings between the lid and the bottom half of the box so if there *were* fingers still on the box if it were closed, fingers wouldn't get stuck (this doesn't apply to the two corners however). Some things that may cause you to reconsider: the box does have sharper corners than a plastic box may have, it is made out of wood after all (the only thing I didn't consider beforehand). However, the finish is smooth. I've been very happy with this toybox. Hopefully my nine month old will think the same thing once he's older.
