Sunshade is very useful when superyard is used outside. Pretty simple. But I must add that the Superyard itself is PRICELESS! I have two complete sets of 6 pcs each & I don't know what I would have done without them! Love it for indoors or out, makes a little 'kiddie coral' in seconds or even a 'barrier' between rooms (does not function as a saftey gate) - it keeps my kids in the living room & out of the kitchen area. Only tough part is the 'inbetween' age where a toddler can toddle (and push the gate around) but not understand & obey "no", if the gat is not secured to the ground or something similar, it will move around and can tip over if pushed hard enough (my 13 month old is now 24 lbs). The product is worth every penny though, I used it often when the kids were between crawling & walking stages - I could play with them inside a large secure area & get out to answer the phone (or similar) and be right back to them and know they were sequestored for those couple minutes & playing contentedly with toys inside the 'barrier'.
