 Really good Camping Bassinet May 16, 2008

I bought mine primarily so I didn't have to take the entire Pack-N-Play system to California. My baby was 2 months at the time and fit well, didn't roll out, and slept mostly comfortably. I was able to move him without waking him.
It breaks down easily, but it does take expertise to get the spines back in to sleep in. My baby loved the closed in feeling, and he didn't lose his covers because they were zipped in with him.
It is perfect for camping because it is canvas. It is heavy duty. I am giving it a good review because it was a life saver and nothing else worked for us!

I guess Amazon changed the description, I know on other web sites you can buy this with a stand and something that turns it into a backpack. I just bought the tote alone. I love it! I got it for my twins so I wouldn't have to lug two infant car seats into the store and church and everywhere else we go. Although both my twins fit in it together, it's not big and bulky. It's so light and compact. I wish I had had it with all my kids, way better then carrying them in an infant car seat. I throw it over my sholder and have two free hands! Wow! I must say my babies love sleeping in it too. It's so soft and snugly. I get a lot of compliments on it. You can take it anywhere, it's great. Good quality too.

Do not purchase this!! After we set it up - and the process was pretty confusing at that (even with the video) - we did not think it was safe for our baby to sleep in. The rods were very unstable. We thought it'd be great for camping trips, but we only used the bassinet part to contain our baby in different rooms, as it was portable.

This is a truly fine baby basket, especially for outdoor adventures. I will use it a lot on camping trips, day trips, and in my yard at home. HOWEVER, it is NOT the 4-in-1 item described in the product descrption. You will receive only the portable bed/carrier. You will not receive the accessories which allow it to be used as a rocker, front carrier, or backpack carrier. I contacted Badger Basket directly, and was told they are contracted with Target/Amazon to sell only the bed basket at this price. If you want to be able to use this product as the 4-in-1 system described, purchase it from somewhere else. You can see details of the complete product on Badger Basket's website. I would have given it a full 5 stars, if the product advertised here was the product actually delivered.
