I don't recommend May 24, 2007 Daisy M 1 out of 2 found this review helpful
Unfortunately I am quite disappointed with this item. when I was hunting bassinet I thought this was the most affordable (the price was $65) but still has decent looks. Then I bought this and used for 4 month for my baby because I did not have choice. (sorry my sweetie.) The basket is made of cardboard. I tried to think because it needed to be light weight but stable enough, but I had to really careful not lean on to prevent smash it. Secure snap is screwed on the side of this cardboard and obviously cardboard would not hold metal screw. They were broken off when I detach the snap. Then I used ductape to secure the basket to the base. Wheels are not stable enough for this purpose. One of them broke when I hit the corner of wall. The parts to tighten the wheels to the base made with plastic and when I screw it too tight it broke too. Then I needed to take all the wheel parts off to use without wheels as a rocker. Beddings. They are OK. The canopy worked for newborn baby want to sleep with the sealing light on. However, after the second wash they started shred... Mattress. Quite thin, but may be OK for right weight newborns. My baby slept better with extra padding (I used fleece blanket under the sheets). Can use as a toy box? Questionable. The boards comes with to make a box is quite thin ply wood. Kids tend to get in the box to play because of its size. The thin ply wood should not be safe for that situation. And even if the wheels are still OK condition, the construction of wheels is not strong enough to carry the toys around. Over all, if you need something mobile to have newborn baby in, THIS IS NOT THE ONE. I recently bought Graco Pack and play with bassinet (which is the least fancy one as a pack and play ) and found that the Pack and play was all I need.
Is OK August 18, 2006 Christine Marretta (Bethlehem, PA USA) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
Its ok. It served its purpose, but it is not worth the price. I would have gotten something more padded. The pad is pretty thin. I would have spent another $20 to get something with better quality more bells and whistles.
Should be recalled!! Fell apart! Don't buy! July 25, 2006 Megan Lawrie (Milford, CT USA) 4 out of 4 found this review helpful
Very poor quality. The bottom collapsed and the bassinet fell to the floor. I'm so glad my daughter wasn't in it at the time. She could have been seriously hurt. My daughter hated this bassinet. It might as well have been a carboard box with a thin piece of foam. The mattress was terrible. She would fall asleep on my bed no problem, so it wasn't a sleeping issue. I had to buy a new mattress to get my daughter to sleep in it. I managed to salvage the bottom half to use as the toy box, but I just keep it in the corner of the room to hold stuffed animals.
Nice as bassinet...not as toybox February 6, 2006 Michelle V. Thomas (Bel Air, MD) 9 out of 10 found this review helpful
I used this for my daughter as an extra place to nap. I didn't like the canopy, it looked very cheap, so I didn't use it. The storage on the bottom part of the bassinet was okay for a few diapers, that's all. As a toybox, I don't recommend it. The bottom fell out so many times we finally bought a regular toy box and put this away. I'll use the bassinet for my 2nd baby as a downstairs napping place, but we won't use it as a toy box. It is very easy to set up and take apart.
disappointed January 19, 2006 R. Bredael 17 out of 18 found this review helpful
This bassinet is not as sturdy as it should be considering I bought one out of the paper for $20 and it was a wicker weave and the base was stong. This one has CARDBOARD SIDES AND STAPLES HOLDING IT TOGETHER. It came bend in on the sides in delivery and generally I am very dissatissfied and will not order again.
