Can't go wrong with Sigg! June 8, 2008

My daughter picked this bottle out. As with all Sigg bottles it's a single, very light weight, piece of aluminum. The sports top is well designed. It has a open and closed setting and when open you have to push against the top to get the liquid out (it won't spill when tipped over this way) and there valves that allow air to flow into the bottle while you are drinking so you can have a continuous flow.
I have a 1L bottle and I purchased a .75L bottle for my Dad who now wants to go and buy him self several more.
These things are very durable. But of course being aluminum and thin if you drop them they will dent (this will not crack the special lining). Also they will get as hot or cold as the contents inside so if it's filled with ice water it will sweat like crazy. They do sell insulated sleeves for them.
I like the screw on loop cap as I can carry it on my finger when the bottle is super cold. And I never realized how much flavor my water was picking up from the various other containers I have used. The water truly stays clean and fresh in these bottles.
One thing about these bottles is the opening is not large enough to fill with ice. But i have partially filled a bottle and tipped it sideways and froze it w/o the lid on (to allow room for the water to expand). They say not to freeze these bottles but if you don't fill it up and give the water room to expand its fine. (They can crack if it's full and there is no were for the freezing water to expand).
With a wide variety of designs and styles there is a bottle for everyone! They have insulated thermos bottles to small bottles with sippy lids. Sports bottles so the whole family can find the right one for them! And with the many designs you can find your own style as well.
I have also used mine with soda, rinsed it out well and switched to water with no flavor exchange!
