Although the bowl is very cute, the suction cup base is almost flat and therefore doesn't suction well. It doesn't stick unless the surface is very hard and smooth like a marble countertop. It won't stick to our wooden dining table and slides around on my daughter's highchair tray.

We have two for my daughter and one for the cat. These bowls are so handy in restaurants and I am planning on taking one with us for summer vacation. Mealtime is much more enjoyable when I don't have to worry about my daughter's dishes hitting the ground. I finally bought one for our cat because his old food bowl was a plaything that he liked to scoot and spill all over the place. He doesn't even try to make a mess anymore.
