5 out of 5 stars This is a great cookbook!   November 13, 2008
Caroline Smith (South Carolina)
I ordered a few baby food cookbooks and I love them! I really like this one, mainly because I really did want my daughter to start out on organic food and this one really is good for that. I did not believe it before, but now I do believe that homemade baby food is a lot cheaper and healthier for the baby.

3 out of 5 stars good cookbook   September 22, 2008
Mom of Pie (Concord, NC United States)
It's a good cookbook for the cook looking to get a little more creative or looking for new ideas for babies/toddlers. But organic? It's no different. You could use any baby cookbook & just use organic ingredients in place of conventional. But that's how it's going to be for any cookbook that boasts "organic" in the title. It's a bit of a marketing sham if you ask me. But I do enjoy the cookbook. My two year old liked helping me make the fruit bread sticks & she really loved eating them! Very healthy. I strongly agree with some of the other reviews however that you should not use this cookbook as a guide to know when to feed your baby what foods. Food allergies are scary things and a 4 month old should not be eating dairy.

1 out of 5 stars ridiculous book!   June 28, 2008
janeinmia (Miami, FL United States)
This book is terrible! The suggestions for what to feed a 4-7 month old baby are crazy. At the beginning of numerous recipes it suggests frying and onion, potatos, etc.! Why on earth would you fry anything for a 4 month old baby?!It also suggests cheddar cheese, and strawberries for babies under one year old. I am suprised the book doesn't mention sprinkling peanuts as a garnish on top of the fried onion, cheddar and strawberries. A basic understanding of babies and nutrition should be necessary if you are going to write a cook book for babies.

I think that whoever is writing a cookbook for kids should have a background in nutrition and should consider teaching kids to have a healthy eating habits. If you want your child to have good eating habits when he/she grows up this book isn't for you.

5 out of 5 stars A must have- Organic MOMS   May 28, 2008
Jenai Benson (Los Angeles, CA USA)
This book has great recipes and pictures too. I don't mind having to read, but when I cook, I want to know what it's going to look like. This book has the best of both. I love how they categorize everything by months, so you know what's appropriate to feed your baby at each age group. Try it, you'll love it!
