Helps keep your sanity! November 17, 2008 Nick J. Shoemaker (Scotia, NE) This bottle warmer works great. I bought two for my twin sons. So far the biggest bottle we have warmed is 4oz. We set it at the fridge setting for the premixed formula bottles we have in the fridge in the middle of the night and 2oz. over whatever is in the bottle, like previous reviews said, otherwise they don't quite get warm enough. Warmer is easy to use even in the middle of the night.
Works great, best November 7, 2008 S. Grimm (N. Huntingdon, PA) This warmer works great once we figured out how it works. We use Dr. Brown bottles, and we have no problem getting them to the right temperature. There is a button for whether it is from the fridge, freezer, or room, and one to choose the amount that is in the bottle. We found that it warms up the milk to warmer than room temperature, which was good, since we didn't want something scalding. If you don't take the bottle out as soon as it beeps, then the bottle will of course keep heating, so make sure that you check the heat once you remove it. If you find that the immediate removal has the bottle too cool, leave it in until you hear the second beep, etc. Very very handy, and quite fast-within 4 minutes, maybe faster. Easy to use-just keep the water level right. Too bad our kid now prefers milk from the fridge unwarmed.
Not worth the $ October 13, 2008 A. Cohen (Kirkland, WA USA) I bought this item before our baby was born, thinking it would be useful for warming up bottles. While it definitely is useful for that, it has a few major design flaws that, had I known about, would have caused me to purchase a different (and much less expensive) alternative. The cons: 1. Complicated operation - ideally, a bottle warmer should be intuitive and simple to use for those 3 AM feedings when one can't even see straight. We have been using this warmer for over three months and still need to use the instruction card for operation. 2. Operation requires 2 hands - a major problem when you have a screaming baby in one hand! 3. Perhaps we just got a lemon, but the unit stopped working after 2 months use - we got a replacement from Babies R Us (where we originally purchased the item - sadly it stopped working just after the return period) and it has worked for the month we have had it Ultimately, I think this product ended up being a waste of time and money - we do still use it, but I wish we had purchased a simpler, less expensive version, such as those offered by The First Years.
A must for frozen mild/food. October 7, 2008 Josh T. Risler (Menomonie, WI United States) My wife breast feed so my son was used to milk on demand so when she was away and he got hungry it was important to have milk heat quickly. This will do frozen milk, or chilled. It also has a setting for room temp stuff. You can also put food in it so you can extend the life of the product by using it longer. I admit the price seemed a bit high but looking back it was worth every penny when your child is crying and needs warm milk.
don't buy for europe September 14, 2008 Jana Ciglerova (prague, czech rep) 0 out of 7 found this review helpful
It literally lasted thirty seconds? Why? Because I got it for my European friend who had an american plug but European voltage. She threw it out shortly after that, nobody was able to repair it.
