I live in a place that gets well over 100 degrees for much of the summer, and this has been a lifesaver! I was always worried about burning my daughter on the metal buckles in her carseat, but I don't have to worry about that at all. In fact, her carseat still feels cool, even when the car itself is steaming. It stays cool all afternoon while I run my errands. The only drawback I have found is that it does take up room in the freezer. But for me, for the one hot season, it's been completely worthwhile!
