Great stroller for living overseas November 23, 2008

I live overseas in China, and spent around 20 hours online researching baby strollers. When our son was born, I kind of took the stroller purchase overboard as if I was buying him his first ride :) We looked at Mclarens, PegPerego, and many many others - was debating between the Pliko P3 and this one. Opted for this one because of the 1-hand fold. We ride taxis alot here, so my wife needs to hold the little guy in one arm and fold the stroller with the other. It's way more solid than anything I see around here: Greco, Combi, and Good Baby... We went to Hong Kong and compared about 20 brands. This had the most solid construction, best fold, and was super sturdy. For an all-purpose stroller, we couldn't be happier. The big wheels and suspension are great on the bumpy sidewalks here. Huge basket is great, and you can easily access it from the side. Ignore those who complain about the cross-bar in the back. The only drawbacks are: gotta lock the front wheels in place before folding (quick, but an annoying step sometimes - I don't do this when storing it in the trunk, but only when storing upright.), and it is a tad heavy for my wife - she's only about 98 pounds. However, the benefits far outweigh the extra weight. I imagine when we go island hopping during the spring festival, we'll buy a cheapo umbrella stroller that weighs around 11 lbs or so.
