The award-winning Compass B500 adjustable folding booster seat is an omnibus tool for parents travelling with young children. It is constructed with impact-absorbing expanded polystyrene (EPS) foam around the head, thick comfort cushion padding throughout, and soft, durable fabric. Safety advocates suggest that your child ride in a booster as long as possible, and many states have enacted legislation to keep children in boosters well into school age (eight years old in our state). The Compass booster seat bridges that gap as it is designed for children aged three to 10 years old, 30 to 100 pounds, and 38 to 57 inches tall. The real innovation for this booster is its ability to fold compactly, and weighing less than 10 pounds, it is easy to tote and fit in the trunk. The six-position height adjust grows at the base, rather than the head, to ensure that the child is always fully enclosed. It's deeper and wider than other boosters for comfort, but the narrow bottom rails allow it to fit in sculpted bucket seats. The rotating handles and retractable cup holders are convenient, and overall the Compass B500 performed superbly. --Scott Teal
Product Description The Compass Folding Booster Car Seat is lightweight and ideal for travel and storage because it folds down with a convenient built-in carry handle. It comes with many convenient safety features like a 6-position height adjustment, an extra wide comfortable seat and energy-absorbing EPS headrest with wings that improves neck impact protection. The flip-up armrests make it easy for your child to climb in and out by himself and also have retractable cup holders for juice boxes or cans.

Great but outgrown too soon September 11, 2008 Busy Mom We loved this seat in every way except my son outgrew it when he was only 52 inches in height, which is well below the 57 inch height that the manufacturer says it is made to fit. My son's torso is not unusually long but even with the seatback in the highest position his shoulders were above the seat belt guides in the headrest which makes it unsafe. I wrote to the manufacturer asking if they'd had other complaints but did not receive a reply. By the way, we checked him on some other brands that were for a child his height, and his shoulders were not too high, only on this brand. I was very disappointed that we had to purchase him another booster for his final year of requirement by our state law, I had intended this booster to serve him until he no longer needed to use one.
Great, high quality affordable booster July 17, 2007 Susan R. Sappington (Columbia,Mo USA) We bought this seat after reading the reviews and comparing this seat to others in its price range. We are very happy with this seat. It is very well made and feels solid, unlike the Graco and Evenflo boosters with removeable backs which fell off when you pick up those seats to move them. I like how it is all attached - I feel my daughter is safer that way. I like how it folds and is easily portable. The cushioning is wonderful. The fabric is dark blue, which concerned me at first (during sunny days would it get hot), but it stays cool to the touch. There is a sticker on the seat that tells you when you should no longer use the seat, which is helpful. The only thing I was disappointed in was that it was last year's model, which I didn't know when I ordered it. So I lost a year of use. But overall, my daughter loves her new seats!

This is a great booster seat so far! It's light and east to carry and my son loves it. I like the fact that it folds in half and when we travel it will be easy to handle. Also, great price on such a great seat!
Great Booster! March 9, 2007 Wendy (Bow, NH) 8 out of 9 found this review helpful
I did a lot of online and store researching before I bought this seat for my 3 1/2 year old son. My one concern was that my son is very slim and all the reviews talked about how the seat worked well for larger children. Well now I can say it works well for slim ones as well. He loves the arm rests and the cup holder. It is light weight and so easy to move and fold when necessary. We liked it so much we are going to buy another one for when our 2 year son son is ready for that transition.
One size fits all February 25, 2007 Jeff V (California) 5 out of 5 found this review helpful
We have twins and my son is growing a little faster then my daughter. When it became time for a booster seat we made a great choice. This seat is easy to adjust as he grows, easy to install and wrap the seatbelt through, sits firmly on contoured seats and is very easy to clean. I must admit that one of the features that helped me to decide on buying this seat was the interactive video that showed how it worked. I like this seat so much that I am now buying the same seat for my daughter. You will be very happy with this important purchase.
