Marea is actually Navy! August 23, 2010 amy (massachusetts) Very disappointed only with the color of the marea that we ordered. It's actually navy blue and khaki.... not the lovely bright blue and white that the picture shows :( Not sure if I'm going to return it or not..
Perfect August 2, 2010 Víctor (México City) The seat is for my first baby, I have not used it yet but I can feel the quality of each element of the seat. Excellent product.
I Love this Car Seat!!!! July 5, 2010 Tonie "Deo" 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
My Pediatrician recommended this car seat as its the one that she uses herself. I decided to give it a try. Not only did I find this Car seat fantastic, i purchased it for $75 less than she did and my children love it! Now she shops here and is advising her patients to do the same, Strollers and More are fantastic! They always have the lowest prices on the Best things. They are always great to deal with.
Safe seat with just a few minor issues. June 22, 2010 Patrick J. Finley 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
So far we love the seat. I'll do a list of pros and cons.
Pro:
Love the very high quality fabrics and materials on the car seat.
Love the consumer reports high crash test rating. The side impact pads are a big bonus.
The car seat base attaches quickly and easily to the car using the latch system.
The seat straps are very quickly and easily adjustable.
Con:
It's heavy, but I suppose a 30lb car seat will be heavier.
The baby shade awning lines up directly with the carry handle. It makes it tough get your hand under it to pick it up.
has some plusses, but I'll get a different seat next time June 21, 2010 L. Phippard (Los Angeles, CA) Reading through the other reviews, people have covered most of the plusses and minuses with this seat. One thing I have not seen mentioned is that because the canopy doesn't pivot forward, there is no way to keep the sun out of the baby's face when the sun is shining through the rear window of the car (with the car seat rear-facing). This is a big problem and if someone has a solution other than making sure to only drive East in the mornings, I'd be grateful to hear it.
We ended up having both this seat and the Graco Snugride.
Plusses:
1. Fits in Peg Perego stroller
2. Looks/feels sturdy/safe
3. Roomier than Graco 30lb Snugride. Our 18 lb baby feels cramped in the Snugride, but has ample room here.
4. Looks good - stylish
Minuses:
1. Canopy doesn't pivot forward like the one on the Snugride
2. Heavier than the Snugride - with the baby at 18 lbs, we typically move the baby and the seat separately now
3. Harder to adjust straps
4. Really warm - this is probably an advantage in some climates but a disadvantage for us
5. Expensive, and not really in a "you get what you pay for" kind of way
6. Peg Perego customer service - I sent them a safety question via their website and never got any response. For a "premium" brand, they should do better.
7. Amazon ships this in the factory box, with no packing material inside. The box came so torn up the first time (i.e. seat was exposed) that we returned it, afraid the seat could be damaged. Second box came almost as beat up, but we kept it.
