Grade A Stupidity February 20, 2010 Tiffany Wise (VA) This movie, the last time I saw it was when I was 4, maybe 5 years old. Admittingly, I did like it then. Now though, I saw it after 17 years and it was to put it any other way, really stupid.
Its an late 80s/90s film I know but the special effects are horrible, the acting is awful and the whole plot of all 3 stories are, just not believeable. I really would not recommend this at all. As I have mentioned before about the special effects being so awful, I must say the only good and 'horror-movie' about it is when the cat crawls in the man's mouth and int him and then back out. That was grade A for Effort- however, the rest of this whole movie appeared to be boring, predictable & just plain stupid.
The Movie was on point! I give this one a play! December 3, 2009 K. Smalls (Decatur GA) The movie was awsome! For real doe! I used to watch tales from the darkside from back in the days! I enjoy every episode! I was a child when they have aired the show! The movie was all good! I'm not saying it's the best, but it's all good! Thanks amazon for this dvd!

How To NOT Get Eaten... August 5, 2009 Bindy Sue Frønkünschtein (under the rubble) A woman (Deborah Harry from Videodrome) is busy preparing for her roasted paperboy dinner. Said paperboy (Matthew Lawrence) comes up w/ a plan to forestall his grisly fate by telling the crazed cook some stories. In LOT 249, a college nerd (Fargo's Steve Buscemi) uses an ancient mummy to exact vengeance on his idiot tormentors (including Hannibal's Julianne Moore as well as a seemingly 12yo Christian Slater) w/ surprising results. Next, in THE CAT FROM HELL, a zillionaire (William Hickey) hires a hitman (David Johansen) to terminate the family cat. Johansen is great as the smug killer, overmatched by the ferocious feline. Finally, we have LOVER'S VOW, where an artist (James Rebar) witnesses a murder-by-hideous-gargoyle one dark night. The creature spares his life, so long as he never tells a living soul about what he has seen. Can our hero keep his trap shut, or will he blab? This one features the breathtakingly-beautiful Rae Dawn Chong! TALES FROM THE DARKSIDE is one of the better horror anthology movies. It's up there along side of CREEPSHOW, CAT'S EYE, (the original) TALES FROM THE CRYPT, TWILIGHT ZONE, and DR. TERROR'S HOUSE OF HORRORS. DARKSIDE is certainly one of the more solid, consistent, and gory of the bunch!...
tales from the darkside the movie July 5, 2009 Lori Poling (las vegas, nv) i've always loved tales from the darkside, so the movie was a must have for me. I liked it.
All Star Cast June 5, 2009 B. Mitcham (Virginia) This is one of my favorites! It's full of actors and actresses that are very well known such as Christian Slater, Julianne Moore, Matthew Lawrence and even a rock star...Deborah Harry(Blondie). So many tales and all of them are scary in their own way.
