Editorial Reviews:

Product Description
This time, the hungry old lady swallows a bell, bows, gifts, a sack, a sleigh, and some reindeer! She's about to swallow a candy cane for dessert, when she hears a jolly "Ho! Ho! Ho!" Santa Claus is waiting for a ride! Watch what happens when she whistles, with amazing results!

With rhyming text and funny illustrations, this lively version of a classic song will appeal to young readers with every turn of the page--a fun story for Christmastime!

This is a wonderful companion to Colandro and Lee's other Old Lady books!

5 out of 5 stars A funny little story   December 25, 2006

My daughter picked this one. It's a cute little story about a little old lady that swallows items. A bell, bows, gifts, sack, a sleigh, and reindeer.

She then decides to finish it off with a peppermint cane but hears Santa coming so she whistles and out comes Santa's sleigh all packed and ready to go.

Eating the reindeer bothered my girl for a moment so be aware. However, if you make fun of it (as I did). The Reindeer are dressed in WWI pilot gear so it's easy.

The story rhymes well so you can get a good rhythm going.

The art is well done to the point of a little goofy so children should like it.

We are going to look into the old woman who swallowed a bat next
