 One of the best starter books we've seen! December 15, 2009

My older daughter LOVED this book as a baby and continues to enjoy it at 3 years old. My younger daughter, now 1, loves this as well and it's one of her favorites. Similar to what a previous poster said, this oddly is the ONLY lift-the-flap book that has not had flaps torn out of it... by either kid! Granted #2 is still young and may tear one out tomorrow. In that case I will buy a second copy :)

This has been my twin toddlers' favorite book since it arrived two months ago. They bring it to me at least three times a day for reading! They are quiet with suspense when I read, "so they sent me a.....", and giggle when they open the flap. It's helped them learn to point out animals in other books; in a collage of different zoo animals, they will point out the elephant, camel, et cetera, when asked. Love it! We may need a fresh copy after another two months of heavy wear, though.

My one year old daughter absolutely loves this book. She loves opening the flaps and has learned the aminal sounds as we say them each time she opens the flap. I highly recommend for a child around 12 months - it is a nice gift book as well.

My daughter is 1 and she loves this book. She enjoys the flaps and laughs when she sees the animal hidden behind each one. She never gets tired of this one and enjoys it every time.

My 13 month old LOVES books, and I just got her several new ones based on Amazon reviews. They're all good, but this one is BY FAR HER FAVORITE! She hands it to us to "read" to her over and over and over again. The monkey is her favorite page. Highly recommend this little book.
