This is a nice little story with a good message about safety and responsibility. It's nice to see a tale about Lightning's life in Radiator Springs after the Cars movie, and having fun with his good friend Mater. It's a typical Little Golden Book - the quality of the paper isn't great, the book binding won't last forever, the artwork is a decent watercolor rendering but not as nice as some other books - but they're short, portable, easy to read, and it's a nice story.

I brought same product from Costoc. for same price. Books were very nice. So I took the ISBN no and ordered the books at Amazon for my daughters birthday as return gif. But what I got was books 1/4 the size I bought in Costco. Worst experience by far at Amazon.
New Story that takes place after the CARS movie end... June 9, 2009

Great for CARS fans who are aching for a new story about what happened AFTER the CARS movie ended. This is a typical Golden Book - illustrations are OK and pages are hard to turn even after pressed down. But the story begins with how happy Lightening is to have his racing headquarters in Radiator Springs and to be living near his best friends Mater and Sally. Sally is taking a trip for a few days and she asks Lightening to "Look Out for Mater" while she is away. Lightening and Mater don't really play it safe and they have a great time racing around the gravel pit Sally wanted them to stay away from. They get chased by a new Bulldozer character "Big Bull" . Mater ends up in a bit of trouble and needs some repair work from Doc in the end. All 3 of our kids loved the story and my 4 yr old son went to sleep with the book tucked under his arm.
