My son is 15 months old and we read this over and over. He really loves dogs and gets excited at every page, and smiles and points at the dogs. He loves the book and always claps his hands at the end. Some reviewers are complaining that this is not the "original" version of Go Dog Go. We do have the original version also, but I think this shorter board book version is actually better for kids under 2 yrs old. When they get a little older they can read the "real" version of the book.

My children loved this book, so I thought my very young grand son, who loves books, would also like it. And he does. Like all small children, he likes to have it read over and over again. Since this book has about 5 pages, it gets old to read over and over again. I would highly recommend this title, but in the board book format, which has more of a "story" and more to read.
Perfect for a young dog lover February 17, 2010

Our toddler absolutely loves this book. She is obsessed with dogs, so this is one of her favorites. She (nor I) have seen the original version and this suits our purposes just fine. It's compact, durable, and has lots of doggie pictures. She giggles and claps when we get to the Dog Party page. When she's older, we'll definitely get the full version of this book. But for a 15-month-old, this version is perfect.
