Product Description Llama, Llama red pajama waiting, waiting for his mama. Mama isnt coming yet. Baby Llama starts to fret. In this infectious rhyming read-aloud, Baby Llama turns bedtime into an all-out llama drama! Tucked into bed by his mama, Baby Llama immediately starts worrying when she goes downstairs, and his soft whimpers turn to hollers when she doesnt come right back. But just in time, Mama returns to set things right. Children will relate to Baby Llamas need for comfort, as much as parents will appreciate Mama Llamas reassuring message.

Great Book!!! Wonderful Series August 29, 2010 Milena Sidler (New York City) We love the Llama, Llama books in my family. The Series relates to kids problems, feelings and concerns. My son has had this book since he was 18 months, he is now 3 and a half years old and still enjoys it. He now tries to ready it with me :)
Highly Recommend
horrified 2 year old August 24, 2010 peace my 2 1/2 year old was horrified by this book. he is extremely bright and very sensitive and he never wanted to see this book again (we received it as a gift and subsequently donated to the library). he thought the book was "too scary" and that the llama "was sad" and could not understand why the mama llama woud not "help him because he is just little" (the quotes are from my son). just some thoughts from my 2 year old.......
Real life explained to children. July 21, 2010 J. Campos (Grants Pass, OR) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
Wow, my Wife and I are loving this series of books and our 2yr old LOVES his llama books! We started with "Llama Llama Mad at Momma" because it was helpful in teaching our son how to behave and be helpful in public. We were a little apprehensive about "...Red Pajama" because some of the reviews seemed to indicate that Little Llama was simply being ignored while he was suffering some traumatic event alone in his room. NOT THE CASE! Basically, Little Llama is put to bed and doesn't fall immediately asleep, which is normal. Then Little Llama bored & alone decides he wants Momma and asks for some water, which is normal. Meanwhile, Momma is downstairs washing dishes and dealing with telemarketers, which is very normal. Then Little Llama decides that throwing a tantrum will accomplish his will and works himself into a panic, normal even for well behaved children. When Momma hears his cries she literally drops everything and comes bolting through the door to find her child in his own manufactured state of despair. The book ends with Momma clearly explaining that sometimes Momma is too busy to come right away but it doesn't mean that she isn't on her way or that she doesn't love him. What a great lesson for children! In the real world sometimes mom & dad are busy but trying. Sometimes mommy is on the potty and baby must wait. Sometimes daddy is watching football and... ok just kidding. Anyway, our son enjoys the rhymes and the amazing artwork, and we love that we can use it as a learning tool.
A Lesson Learned July 19, 2010 Richard W.Oldenburg (Tehachapi, CA) Llama, Llama, Red Pajama is a vocabulary treat. The young listener/reader learns that mama cannot be with him all the time. And the repetition of the simple rhymes allows the young reader to have early success. Also read Llama, Llama, Misses Mama as the youngster prepares for school. Be it kindergarten or first grade, the first day is traumatic for the child and mother. This book helps to ease that concern.
This book is awesome! July 10, 2010 AskMunky I was reading some of the 1 star reviews and I think it's a little bit wacky for those parents to say that this book sends a bad message. It's a fantastic book and it's very clever. My children know it word for word and they think it's funny. Every parent gets busy at sometime or another when a child wants something. We can not be at their beck and call 24/7! It's important for a child to learn patience. This book has nothing to do with the "cry it out" method. The mom gets busy and the child throws a fit. Yeah he's scared, but at the end of the book he understands that there is nothing to be afraid of. His mom is always there for him even if she gets busy. She scolds him because he's freaking out and it gets her into a state of panic. He's freaking out even after she told him that she will be up soon. This book is a common thing that happens to parents everywhere AND guess what???? There is no such thing as a super parent. Parents now days shouldn't spank, I agree, but now they are saying time outs are bad too because it may cause anxiety??? Anxiety and patience is a part of life. This book sends a good message to kids. It shows kids and parents both sides. The child maybe freaking out because of anxiety and the parent just caught up in something. The ending it the best part to me because she reassures him that it's okay. I love all the Llama Llama books. I have 3 kids who are 4,2,and 1 and they LOVE LOVE LOVE these books!!! They are fantastic and it's a MUST!
