Fun Introduction to the Holiday November 18, 2007 George Buttner (Dayton, Ohio United States) "A Blue's Clues Chanukah" a fun Blue's Clues book that will introduce readers to the holiday, whether they celebrate it or are simply learning more about it. In this book (which is a Joe book), Blue and friends are invited to Orange Kitten's Chanukah party. They have a lot of fun and it's a learning experience as well! They learn the reasoning behind the menorah, eat potato latkes, and play dreidel. They also sing two traditional songs, "Chanukah, Oh Chanukah" and "Little Dreidel." Another great holiday celebration from "Blue's Clues." The book is lively and will interest readers, but doesn't try to introduce too much info. A great companion to the holiday stories seen on the TV show.
Great hanukkah book for toddlers November 13, 2006 Julia's Mom 3 out of 3 found this review helpful
This book is terrific for little ones. At Orange Kitten's Chanukkah party, she leads Blue and friends through all the rituals of Chanukkah with enough detail for a toddler to understand but without going over his or her head. The self-proclaimed "professional reviewer" must be...confused. The book is the same length as all the Blue's Clues books and other books for toddlers.
Great Chanukah Story January 8, 2006 Toy Mom (West Bloomfield, MI) 5 out of 6 found this review helpful
Don't know what the previous reviewer was expecting from a Blue's Clue's Chanukah book! I found it to be surprisingly accurate and thorough (talked about decorations, food, games, rituals of the holiday). It was all told from the perspective of Blue's friend Orange Kitten teaching Blue, Joe and the gang all about Chanukah. My daughter loves it and I think it's nice to find a Chanukah book out there with characters that she knows and recognizes. Thumbs up!
Overpriced Pamphlet December 20, 2005 C. Goldberg (Brewster, NY United States) 1 out of 6 found this review helpful
I could not believe this book when I received it. I don't recall the number of pages, but this book is thin enough to jimmy open a door. The content of the book may by OK, but I have to rate this book with 1 star, as I feel very ripped off. I would recommend one of the many other Chanukah books on Amazon.
