| Customer Reviews: THE BEST!!! September 3, 2010 Jeena Jarvis (Illinois) I thought $25 was too much to pay for a swaddle sack/blanket, but the Woombie is worth every penny. It is my new favorite baby shower gift. My baby won't sleep at all unless me or my husband is holding her and/or she is in the Woombie. We have two regular Woombies and one "Leggies" Woombie which has legs that allow you to strap your sleeping baby into a carseat or baby swing. We couldn't live without the Woombie!!!
Wow, its a mircale suit for baby September 2, 2010 John Donovan (La Verne, CA, US) This is the best sleep wear ever for fussy babies. Our 3 month old sleeps MUCH better with this outfit. They are a little pricey or I would order another one just to have more than one. Read Dr. Harvey Karp's "The happiest baby on the block" and you'll know why babies sleep better in a woombie. Excellent book and excellent sleepwear. They should cross market each other's products!
Great product! August 29, 2010 Robin I bought these for my twin when they were about two months old, and they have simplified life tremendously. It was starting to get really difficult to keep them from getting their hands loose when swaddled in regular blankets, but these are so easy to just zip them up into. They also really like the fact that they have a little bit of stretch, so they can move around a little bit without startling and waking themselves up.
Sleep! Finally!!! August 20, 2010 a reader (Maine, USA) This was a lifesaver to help my little bruiser sleep. By the time we brought him home from the hospital, he was already a master swaddle escape artist. This helped us extend his swaddle time. Now that he is beyond the big baby size he has no interest in swaddling AT ALL, but this was still worth every penny while it lasted.
The Woombie is one of very few "necessary" pieces of baby gear August 12, 2010 E. B. Glass (Decatur, GA) 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
I was initially a Woombie doubter. We had used and liked another brand of swaddler (one that employs velcro to fix the swaddle), and we thought, "Why reinvent the wheel?" I worried that the baby would be able to move her arms around inside the Woombie and wake herself up. Plus, I didn't see the point in paying more for the Woombie when there were cheaper alternatives.
When our second daughter was born, someone gave us a Woombie as a gift. We didn't use it very much at first, but when the baby started outgrowing the other brand (even the large size, and she's not even a big baby!) at 3 months, we thought the Woombie might be worth a shot. I always felt that my first daughter would have slept better through infanthood if we had been able to swaddle her longer.
To my surprise, the Woombie turned out to be awesome! It's really comfortable and my daughter has slept really well in it. It's so much easier to use than other brands, and I love the lightweight knit fabric. At 5 months we finally switched to the larger size and were excited to see that the design has changed slightly. There are now two zippers, which allow us to just unzip the bottom for diaper changes. This was a great addition.
Hint: we did notice some stretching and straining in our newborn Woombie. It developed a hole near the zipper and, at the time we retired it, was starting to seem weak around the seams. We probably should have sized up a little bit sooner than we did. Our girl still met the weight requirements for the newborn one but she is longer than most babies.
I would recommend this product to other parents. Even though it costs more than other swaddlers, there is added value that makes it worth the money.
