4 out of 5 stars wonderful - but don't put it in the dryer!   December 9, 2008
twin mom
We love halo sleep sacks and have been using them since our twins were a few months old. We were thrilled to find the "big kids" version, since our boys still love them even though they sleep in "big boy" beds, and they'd outgrown the extra large. The only warning I would give is not to put them in the dryer, unless you want them to shrink. Our boys are ony 2 and a half, but they're pretty tall, and after we dried the 4-5 T size, it was too small for them. I've returned them and gotten new ones, and now I just air dry them. Other than that, they're terrific - no kicking the covers off at night, and the boys love getting into their cozy sleep sacks every night. Saves on heating bills too since it keeps them so warm!

5 out of 5 stars Cozy and fun, love it!   December 3, 2008

My 2 1/2 year-old loves it. He giggles when his feet peak out of the sleeping sack. It's warm and cozy. Just right for the winter time.

My 18 month old just got his new Big Kids sleep sack. Yes it is VERY big on him, but it keep him cozy and he loves that he can stick his feet out to run around on cold evenings/mornings. HIGHLY recommended!

I had been on a search for something that would keep my now 2-year old boy warm. I bought it last year, when he was one, and have been using this every day except a few summer months. I don't worry about him kicking his blanket off at night anymore because he can't. I would recommend to any mom who start to worry about keeping their little ones warm with night temperature dropping every day.

4 out of 5 stars good for bigger kids but eventually figured out how to unzip it   July 17, 2008
Mom (NC)
Once our baby moved out of being swaddled at night, we moved him on to sleep sacks until he was 2 years old. We have a boy at the 90th percentile in both height and weight so he grew out of the other sleep sacks by the time he was about 16 months or so. We got this one for the winter and he really loved the fact that he could poke his feet through. The down side is (1) that he also then was able to take his socks off at night (which seemed to bother us more than him), and (2) that he quickly learned to unzip it. We then switched it around and put it on him backwards, which seemed to help for a month or two, but he somehow learned to unzip it that way too, with force which made the zipper eventually start ripping away from the fabric. If you have a child who isn't really interested in getting out of everything at night, this is a great sleep sack. We're still glad we bought it and the SIDS-free warmth it provided for the winter.
