Loooooove this toy August 9, 2007 rnkwissie (Pleasanton, CA United States) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
My sister had this toy for her son, and he loved it. When my 3 month old and I went to visit, she got to "play" in the boat, and she LOVED it!! She kicked, and watched the moving wheel that lit up. The music isn't too bad either, kinda a Carribean twist to Row Your Boat and other favorites. The other really nice thing about this toy is the length of the songs...you can just turn this bad boy on, and it goes for a while. It also has the ability to have the baby provoke it to make sounds. Our girl loves this so much we put it inside her pack and play and she just plays and plays.
Best Gym We Had! July 3, 2007 Mom In Training (CA, USA) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
We had 4 different baby gyms because we had registered for 2 and then got 2 random ones. This was one of the random ones and boy were we happy someone got it for us. Our daughter LOVED this gym way longer than any of her other toys. She is now almost 18 months and while the gym has been put away awhile back, we still have all the toy attachments out to play with. We used to have all our gyms sitting out on the ground next to eachother and there were 2 in particular she liked best. The regular baby einstein one (not water play one) and this one. She loved looking at the lights and listening to the music at first. Then she started getting the hang of kicking and swatting at the toys. After that she enjoyed pulling on the toys and shaking them and gnawing at them. When she started sitting up she loved "driving the boat" to make the music go. She played with this until she started pulling up because then it is a bit dangerous. I highly recommend this item and think that if your child doesn't like it, like some reviewers said, it just means it doesn't match their temperment. Our child has always been a physical girl who needed a lot of activity, motion, and interaction. This provided all of those things for many months!
It really is something that you do not know you need until you buy it. April 16, 2007 Mistie Wisniewski (Alexandria, VA) 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
I was lucky enough that a friend let me borrow this with my first son when he was about 3 months old (He is now almost 2). We were hesitant at first but immediatley this this toy replaced his expensive bouncer and swing. This toy was amazing. He loved it. I could finally do dishes, clean... he was extremly happy and loved the music. He would lay there and kick and laugh.... My husband and I also realized that after awhile, when we would lay Josh on the bed he looked up at the celing fan and starting kicking. It really appeared he was trying to make the ceiling fan move like the toy. When I found out I was pregnant again I had to find one of these for our next son. We could not imagine life without this. I vowed that this would be a gift I would buy for any new parent. It really is something that you do not know you need until you try it.
Not bad January 10, 2007 J. Craft This Item is perfect for when your baby is just lying there or when they can fully sit up by themselves. It is not so great when they can roll over. Our little one tends to get twisted and stuck and rolls off of it and isn't very comfortable right now but will be back to loving it once she can fully sit up. :)
not comfortable November 5, 2006 busy mommy (San Antonio Texas) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
If I would have been able to try this out before buying it I would have never bought it. The surface is way to hard for a baby to be laying on it. The it is not too sensitive to movement so when baby kicks or moves it doesnt always turn itself on. I would have much rather bought a playmat instead.
